Papers (Kraft, Crepe, Aramid papers)

Kraft paper, crepe paper, and aramid paper are versatile technical materials known for their excellent mechanical strength, electrical insulation properties, and thermal resistance. When laminated with films like PET or PI, they become multifunctional composites suited for demanding industrial applications.

Typical Application Areas

  • Cable Industry: These papers and laminates are widely used as wrapping and insulating materials in low-, medium- and high-voltage cables. They provide mechanical protection, dielectric insulation, and—especially with aramid paper—high thermal and flame resistance. Kraft paper is commonly used in oil- or resin-impregnated cable systems.

  • Electrical Insulation: In transformers, electric motors, and generators, these materials ensure reliable electrical insulation, voltage resistance, and long-term thermal stability. Aramid paper/PET laminates and aramid paper/PI laminates are ideal for high-temperature and high-stress electrical environments.

  • Packaging Industry: Kraft and crepe paper are used in industrial packaging as protective layers, wrapping, or cushioning materials. Crepe paper is particularly useful for wrapping irregular shapes due to its flexibility and stretchability.

  • Other Industrial Applications: Aramid paper is also used in aerospace, automotive, and electronics for lightweight, flame-retardant structures and insulation. Kraft paper/PET laminates serve as backing materials in adhesive tapes or technical laminates.
